Chasing a target of 130, Ashwin scored a vital 52 off 46 balls, including one four and three sixes. His 65-run partnership for the third wicket with Baba Indrajith (32 off 35 balls) was instrumental in the victory. The Dragons, having scored 46 runs for the loss of two wickets during the powerplay, relied on Ashwin’s steady hand to seal the win with 10 balls to spare.
